- Ashwagandha: Identified as an adaptogen, this herb was noted for regulating stress-related hormones and mitigating central nervous system inflammatory responses. - Panax ginseng: Historically documented in Eastern traditional medicine, research indicates it may support cognitive markers and lower inflammatory indicators within the central nervous system. Mechanisms highlighted in the research suggest that these plant compounds can suppress microglial activation, regulate pro-inflammatory cytokine production (such as TNF-alpha and IL-1β), and activate pathways associated with cellular antioxidant defenses against oxidative stress.
