Uses
Matico leaves are used internally for diarrhea and for respiratory complaints. Externally, the powdered leaves used for wounds and cuts to stop bleeding; also as a mouthwash. Peruvians have faith in matico as an aphrodisiac.

Formulas or Dosages
Infusion: use 1 tsp. leaves with 1 cup water. Take 1 to 2 cups per day.
